Music has always been around during my time growing up. Born 1994 in London, UK into a family with a father who’s a bass player and a mother that constantly played R&B, Soul and Jazz records, I had no choice but to follow that same path.
During my childhood my parents tried to introduce me to trying to learn the drums without success. It wasn’t until my teenage years I really started getting into the music. In my last years of college, I started making my own beats, taking inspiration great artists such as Stevie Wonder, D’Angelo and J Dilla. I also started taking piano lessons to build up my understanding of music. This, along with daily practice gave me a good foundation to further develop my skills in music production and playing the piano.
As my passion for creating and playing continued to grow, I decided to enroll in a music education in London, more specifically, Diploma in Music Production at BIMM London (2014-2015). Here I learned about the different aspects of music as a craft such as production techniques, miking techniques and how to carry out projects from idea to finished product. However, the most important lessons and revelations for me came from playing and exchanging ideas with other like minded musicians.
When returning back to my home town Lund, Sweden with inspiration and new fresh ideas I joined a funk/fusion band called Cicada Collective. We played live gigs and recorded som tunes.
In 2017 I started my Bachelor’s Program in Music Science at Lund University in Sweden. In my Bachelor’s Thesis I wrote about Micro-Rhythm. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in 2020.
I have also worked and been involved in session work with a variety of musicians and artists of local and international origin such as Wxlfman, NEEDY, Norea Sandberg, DJ More-10, S.T.I.C.S, Cristal Andino, Behrang Miri, Hurricane Beats, By Any Means and NAHOM.
